Yuletide storytelling and forest bathing

Kickstart the festive season with some traditional yuletide themed tales for the kids, followed by a free forest bathing session for the adults after lunch

Dawn Nelson will be joining us at elfwoods on Sunday 4th December to kickstart the festive season with some traditional yuletide themed tales for the kids.

There will be sausages grilled on the bonfire available for lunch after the storytelling (for adults and kids) and stay and play in the woods. The sausage options are:

  • Organic pork sausage in a bun
  • Vegan sausage in a bun (onions, coleslaw, ketchup, mustard, mayo toppings)

If you’d like to join us for lunch, please let us know how many of each sausage you’d like in the booking form below.

Long-time Elfwoods volunteer and professional dancer Faye Reader will be offering a free forest bathing session after lunch for adults. This is limited to 10 spaces so please let us know in the booking form below if you’d be interested in joining.

Who is this event suitable for?

This event is suitable for children aged 5-10 years who are able to independently join in the activity and remain engaged for the hour. Accompanying parents are encouraged to take advantage of the free hot drinks provided around one of our community fire pits.

What should I bring?

Please bring:

  • Your own cups for hot drinks, water bottles, snacks
  • Weather-appropriate clothing – layers are good, waterproofs if necessary

How do I book?

There is a maximum of 30 places available for children. The price is £5 per child, and and extra £2 per child or adult if you’d like lunchWe’ll send payment details once your spaces have been confirmed. Attendees are encouraged to car share where possible.
